Just about...and I'm finding they don't sit so well with me. Actually, it's been more like 44 hours in the past 3 days. I work my shift at the hospital and then go over to our "new" house to paint and such. It's coming along. Someday, when it's done, I'll post before and after pictures.
A lot has happened since I last posted. We went to northern Wisconsin with my family for a few days, Luke left me for the first time since we got married (to go to Taylor and sandbag, and yes, I did stay home by myself), my best friend (Kate) got engaged to an amazing man named Mark. I am so excited for their wedding!
My grandma (my mom's mom) had surgery for her stomach cancer on Monday to remove part of her stomach and some lymph nodes. They ended up having to take out more of her stomach than was planned. They also had to take out her spleen and quite a bit of tissue from her abdominal cavity. Other than a lot of pain, she has been doing well. Today her blood pressure started dropping and her heart rate got very high. She's in ICU now, and being closely watched. I know she would appreciate your prayers.

Sold
Well, almost. Yesterday afternoon Luke and I accepted an offer on our house. So if everything goes well, this time next month we'll be country folks. It's overwhelming to think about the paperwork, the work that needs to be done to the house before we move, and packing. It's sad to leave our first home, where we've made so many memories. But it will be good. We'd appreciate your prayers.

Scary Movies
This week, I had a first. I got my first IV! I was so excited. I've been on top of them, on either side of them, blew right threw them, and hit valves. Yesterday was the first time I got into one.
Right now we're watching a movie and it's at a kind of scary part, so I'm writing this post so I don't have to watch. Luke is laughing at me. Ok, it's over now, so I'm going to finish. :D

It Feels Like a Monday...
And the weekend lasted forever. Actually, if my weekends were like the past ones, I wouldn't mind if they lasted forever. I was sad when Kate called me and said she was sick and couldn't go shopping with me. So I petitioned my husband to take off work early and go with me. I got my shoes and the baby gift, and then for some reason had this overwhelming urge to visit Gap. I'm not sure why, because I never find anything there and I usually don't want to spend that much money. Anyway, I drug Luke and and when I looked on the sale rack, I found a tan wool coat on sale for $20! I didn't need a coat real bad, but it was to good of a deal to pass up, so I bought it. Macy's also had good sales and Luke found a couple of dress shirts.
Today is our one year anniversary, and we had decided to go out to eat to celebrate on Sunday night, since I had to work today, and usually am ready for bed about 7pm. But instead of just going out to eat, Luke surprised me by taking me to Stony Creek Inn in East Peoria. He got an amazing room with a whirlpool tub and a fire place. We went to Alexander's Steak House, and then we came back to our hotel and swam. It was a lot of fun. I was very surprised that he got it all lined up without me figuring anything out, because I'm kind of nosy, and I usually find things out. It was fun to be surprised though. My husband is sweet like that. I love him very much!

Shopping!
Right now I'm waiting for Kate to wake up (she worked last night) and call me so we can go shopping. I'm very excited for this shopping trip for three reasons: I haven't been clothes shopping in ages, I haven't been with Kate in ages, and I don't have to look for a swimming suit.

I Love My Job
I started my summer internship on Monday morning. Monday wasn't so exciting since we just did orientation, but the past two days have been amazing. I've been able to do tons of stuff I could never do as a student on the floor, and I feel like the whole thing is kind of coming together.
Minus the very sore feet and slightly swollen ankles at the end of the long day, and never getting to eat lunch, I am loving every minute.
I am excited to sleep in tomorrow morning. This 5am thing is hard on me. But I still love my job.

I'm done!!
Yay!! I took my last final yesterday morning. I passed all my classes with flying colors. Praise God!
I came home and cleaned up some stuff, and then went to Pizza Ranch with Luke to celebrate. Then I came home and cleaned exploded champagne out of the freezer. I organized all my school papers and folders and binders and stacked them up, never to look at them again (at least not for a long time). I spent an hour and a half making chocolate lava cakes (which turned out!!), and then made supper for us and Paul and Elise. We drank a fair amount of champagne between the four of us. I was definitely feeling it. Then the guys tunned the goblets so we could all run out wet fingers around the top of glasses and it would sound good. While they experimented with various viscosities of liquid, Elise and I went and got a movie to watch. We watched it, and that was the end of out night.
It feels so amazing to not have the stress of school or not having to deal with the guilt of not studying. I think Luke is probably even more thrilled that I'm done for the semester. But we're both excited about my starting my job on Monday.
